The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care, providing safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. He/she ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice, serves as a resource, preceptor, and mentor.

Requirements

• Adheres to hospital policies related to medication safety
• Answers patient/significant others phone calls and evaluates patient's needs
• Anticipates and intervenes in an appropriate and timely manner when there are concerns related to patient and staff safety
