Associate Lecturer (Specialist Trainee, Public Health Medicine)

The position of Associate Lecturer (Specialist Trainee, Public Health Medicine) at the University of Notre Dame Australia is a full-time opportunity that provides exposure to public health activities, including education, research, and quality and safety. The role involves delivering postgraduate public health teaching, contributing to assessment and evaluation activities, and engaging in training and curriculum activities. The successful candidate will be required to relocate to or spend time in the Lithgow/Blue Mountains region to complete rural training.

Requirements

• Full general medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Completed Master of Public Health (or equivalent) meeting AFPHM core requirements
• Enrolment in the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine Training Program
• Demonstrated understanding of the Australian health care system and the delivery of public health services
• Demonstrated commitment to public health, public health education, curriculum development, and research
• Proficient in critical appraisal, academic writing, and research tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to facilitate small-group teaching and deliver tutorials
• Well-developed organisational and time-management skills
