Requirements
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
- Special Education Certified
- Knowledge of state and Federal Special Education law
- Knowledge of the ARD process
- Knowledge of disabilities and the impact on children
- Skilled in developing effective and compliant IEPs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in working effectively under timelines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Skilled in maintaining accurate and compliant student records
- Skilled in developing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (including MS Excel) and web applications
- Knowledge of state testing requirements and procedures (EOC/STARR)
