Building Attendant II (Custodian) – Weekend Night

The Building Attendant II (Custodian) – Weekend Night position is responsible for unlocking and locking exterior doors and classrooms, performing custodial cleaning work in academic buildings, and providing emergency response and clean up for floods and other custodial emergencies. The position requires a reliable means of communicating with the department outside of work by phone, a class C operator's driver's license, and the ability to work in a team environment. Requirements

• Unlock and lock exterior doors and classrooms according to schedule and with a high level of accuracy.
• Perform general cleaning in all university facilities according to schedule and using safe and prescribed procedures.
• Respond to custodial requests and emergencies.
• Fill in as required for other crew members.
• Communicate effectively with clients on cleaning issues.
• Use two-way radios.
• Use custodial equipment to include back pack vacuum and wet dry vacuum.
• Perform set ups for special events.
• Pick up linens after events.
• Provide emergency response and clean up for floods and other custodial emergencies.
• Have a reliable means of communicating with the department outside of work by phone.
• Have a class C operator's driver's license.
