Mechanic/Technician

The mechanic/technician will provide journey-level skills to perform work in a variety of trades required for the maintenance, repair, and operation of University facilities and equipment. Responsible for the fabrication, installation, operation, and routine or emergency maintenance and/or repair of University facilities. Performs journey-level work in a particular area of expertise assigned.

Requirements

• Perform preventative maintenance on all air handlers, pumps, motors, eye wash stations, lighting, water filters and air filters
• Operate all types of equipment needed for repair, installation or renovation of any project throughout all MSI buildings.
• Provide repair to mechanical systems including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, light electrical and carpentry throughout all MSI campuses
• Assists with severe weather preparations and evacuation, rigging emergency power and emergency generator testing.
