NSW Software Engineering Scientist Associate will support software development on undersea sensor systems employed on Naval Special Warfare platforms. Responsibilities include design and development of new software features, maintenance of existing software solutions, and troubleshooting hardware interactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or other related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience with C++.
- Demonstrated experience with Python.
- Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, data structures/design patterns/algorithm performance analysis.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with common application debugging tools.
- Familiarity with Linux operating system as a primary desktop.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to travel in support of system development and demonstration
- Willingness to accept feedback, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision, and effectively communicate with others in the lab.
