Patient Services Specialist (PSS)

The Patient Service Specialist will provide medical administrative support to the patient care team, maintain confidentiality of patient records, and abide by policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• College coursework in business or medical sciences preferred
• Previous exposure to Microsoft Windows such as Outlook and Word required
• Keyboarding skills in excess of 50 WPM required
• Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a fax machine, copier and scanner required
• Competent writing and editing skills, including sound grammar, spelling, and punctuation required
• Basic competency in mathematics required
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with frequent interruptions required
• Customer service orientation required
• Ability to communicate and listen effectively required
