The Food Safety & Quality Systems Intern will support the packing operations by assisting with the transition of the Food Safety and Quality Management software, “SmartFoodSafe”. This will provide hands-on experience on how to implement Food Safety and Quality System principles in a real setting with fresh produce.
Requirements
- Pursuing degree in Food Science, Food Safety & Quality Management, Agricultural Science/Technology, Biology/Microbiology, Agribusiness
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Strong Microsoft Suite Skills
- Familiarity with requirements for Food Manufacturing for fresh produce
- Detail-oriented and comfortable in manufacturing environments
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Must have a Junior or Senior college academic level with a minimum of 2.5 Overall G.P.A. and a 3.0 Major G.P.A.
- Must have started core concentration classes in related field
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, Word, etc.
- Must have excellent communication skills-verbal and written
- High attention to detail
- Team oriented and have passion for learning
