Senior Nuclear Energy Specialist

Role Overview

This position is a part of the Japanese recruitment mission. The Senior Nuclear Energy Specialist will serve as a core team member to support the ECA energy unit and broader WBG in their dialogue with client countries on nuclear energy engagement. The role will involve technical assistance and advisory, lending operations, knowledge agenda, and ad hoc tasks.

What You Will Do

The Senior Nuclear Energy Specialist will support task teams in advising client countries on policy, regulatory, and institutional strengthening to support possible nuclear energy, fuel cycle, and/or nuclear value chain development. They will also provide technical and operational support across WBG lending operations, including for nuclear life extension, possible nuclear new build, fuel cycle, and value chains.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nuclear engineering, physics, or a related field
• At least 8 years of experience in nuclear energy, policy, and regulatory affairs
• Strong technical expertise in nuclear energy, policy, and regulatory affairs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
