The Billing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of claims processing, including accurate and timely claim creation, follow-up with providers, and communication with patients. The role involves regulatory compliance, process improvement, and maximizing revenue. Requirements

• Perform and monitor all steps in the billing processes to ensure maximum reimbursement.
• Prepare and submit clean claims to third party payers.
• Respond to account inquiries from patients, payers, providers, and staff.
• Understand Medicare, Medicaid and other commercial payer rules and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Contribute to billing coding and documentation education.
