Ventilator/ Respiratory Systems Principal Controls Engineer

Third Pole is a fast-growing startup developing a game-changing technology to expand the lifespan of individuals with respiratory challenges through Nitric Oxide inhalation therapy. They are seeking a Principal System Algorithms & Controls Engineer to lead the development, characterization, and testing of control software and hardware for medical devices, ensuring compliance with requirements and optimizing hardware and system performance. The role involves designing software algorithms, hardware, and evaluating performance on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related specialization
• 10+ years of related experience
• Experience with ventilators and/or respiratory applications
• Experience designing, implementing, tuning, and analyzing high accuracy multi-sensor control circuits and systems
• Experience implementing software/firmware control algorithms in C language
• Experience with digital and analog electrical circuits
• Proven ability to engage effectively in risk analysis
