Accounting Specialist

Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes is seeking an experienced full-time Accounting Specialist to support the business office in Greenville, SC. The role involves providing general accounting support, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, budgeting, auditing, financial reporting, and bank reconciliations. The specialist will also be responsible for managing pre-need insurance contracts and ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

• Scan and upload invoices to Quadient Beanworks (AP automation platform).
• Code invoices and verify deposits.
• Prepare bank deposits and record journal entries to QuickBooks.
• Review reports from Passare.
• Update accounts receivable report.
• Check run each Thursday.
• Process insurance payments.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Review petty cash reconciliations.
• Review manager credit card expense report.
• Preparation of SC Consumer Affairs Preneed reports.
