Inventory Control Clerk I

Thorlabs is a company that designs and manufactures components, instruments, and systems for advancing science and technology. We are seeking an Inventory Control Clerk I to contribute to the receiving and monitoring of inventory, working in a fast-paced and fun culture.

Requirements

• Investigates and corrects inventory issues
• Executes transfers of product systematically as well as physically
• Processes physical inventory counts and perform reconciliations as needed
• Performs and review data entry in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system/Journals/Quarantines
• Processes journals requests
• Responsible for location set-up and layout of inventory materials within the Business Unit (BU)
• Carries out cycle counting as needed
• Recommends process improvement regarding policies & procedures to ensure adequate control of all inventories
• Cross trains in shipping and receiving
• Understand and accurately process intercompany ECRO procedures
• Coordinates and participates in the year end physical inventory process
