Job Description
Lay and install bricks, blocks, stone, and other masonry materials according to blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Prepare and clean surfaces, ensuring proper bonding materials and techniques are used for all installations.
Requirements
- Completion of an apprenticeship or journeyman program in bricklaying or masonry
- 5+ years of experience as a bricklayer or mason in a construction environment
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project specifications
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and laying masonry materials with precision
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in bricklaying
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and on time
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
