Job Description
Thos. R. Birnie & Sons is seeking an Accountant/Bookkeeper to enhance performance and operational decision-making. The role involves ensuring timely and accurate accounting and financial management, including bill payments, government remittance processing, payroll, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Requirements
- Ensure timely and accurate bill payments
- Maintain General Ledger records and reconcile bank statements
- Complete government remittance processing
- Enter vendor invoices and manage payments
- Enter all credit card transactions
- Reconcile Credit Cards and Vendor statements monthly
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
- Complete timely and accurate month end close
- Maintain company financial reports and spreadsheets
