Backend Software Engineer Intern (Data Trust and Safety) - 2027 Start (BS/MS)

The Trust and Safety engineering team at TikTok is seeking a Backend Software Engineer Intern to join them for a 3-month internship in December 2026. The team is responsible for protecting users from harmful content and abusive behaviors, and the intern will assist in researching and developing trust and safety related systems and product functionalities.

Requirements

• Bachelor or above degree in computer science or a related technical discipline
• Proficiency in designing data structures, building algorithms, and at least one programming language: python / go / php / c++ / java
• Excellent problem analysis and driving ability
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Good teamwork, communication skills, and service awareness, proactive and optimistic, strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation
