Backend Software Engineer, TikTok Privacy (Multiple Positions)

TikTok is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join their Privacy team in Bellevue, WA. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain large-scale software systems to enhance privacy across various applications/platforms. Responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams, investigating industry progress, and improving system design and architecture.

Requirements

• Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience
• OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience
• Designing and implementing software service architecture to support high throughput and fault tolerant services
• Working with cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Maintaining and debugging software services
• Using agile methodology for the entire software development lifecycle
• Applying Network protocols and using Unix or Linux operating system
