Data Engineer Intern (E-commerce) - 2026 Summer (BS/MS)

TikTok is seeking talented individuals to join their Data Platform E-Commerce team as Data Engineer Interns for the 2026 summer. This 12-week internship offers students industry exposure and hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring career paths. Interns will contribute to building, optimizing, and growing one of the world's largest data platforms, impacting core products and millions of users. The role involves designing and implementing data transformations and big data systems, establishing engineering practices, and utilizing skills in real-world scenarios.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026
• Experience in the Big Data technologies (Hadoop, M/R, Hive, Spark, Metastore, Presto, Flume, Kafka, ClickHouse, Flink etc.)
• Experience with performing data analysis, data ingestion and data integration
