(General Hire) Machine Learning Engineer Intern (TikTok-Recommendation) - 2026 Summer (BS/MS)

TikTok is seeking talented individuals to join their Recommendation algorithm team as Machine Learning Engineering Interns for the 2026 summer. The team is fast-paced, collaborative, and impact-driven, focused on driving product decisions and platform growth. Interns will have opportunities to develop industry-leading recommendation systems, explore generative techniques, build multi-model systems, and contribute to impactful machine learning solutions. This is part of the general hiring process for the TikTok Recommendation organization.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master degree with a background in computer science, machine learning, or similar fields
• Good knowledge of theoretical and empirical research in addressing research problems
• Solid knowledge and experience with at least one popular deep learning framework (e.g., PyTorch,TensorFlow)
• Familiarity with deep neural network architectures
• Proficient in C/C++, Python, and shell programming languages
• Deep understanding of data structure and algorithm design
