(General Hire) Research Scientist Graduate - TikTok Recommendation - 2026 Start (PhD)

TikTok is seeking a Research Scientist Graduate to join their Recommendation organization. The team aims to empower genAI and content understanding through computer vision and natural language processing, working on foundational models and striving for both business metric gains and state-of-the-art research outputs. The ideal candidate will be a 2025 Graduate with strong research skills and a desire to grow their business understanding and collaborate with global teams.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in one or more areas of computer vision, natural language processing and machine learning.
• Solid knowledge and experience with at least one major deep learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, MXNet, Caffe/Caffe2).
• Familiar with deep neural network architectures such as transformer/SSM/CNN/RNN/LSTM etc.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
