Software Engineer Intern (Data Ecosystem) - 2026 Summer (BS/MS)

The TikTok Data Ecosystem Team is seeking talented individuals for a 12-week summer internship in 2026. This role focuses on crafting and implementing a storage solution for offline data within TikTok's recommendation system, catering to over a billion users. The intern will design and implement real-time and offline data architecture, build scalable Lakehouse systems, and collaborate with ML platform teams. The internship aims to provide students with industry exposure, hands-on experience, and a foundation for personal and professional growth.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
• Familiarity with modern Lakehouse technologies such as Apache Paimon, Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Hudi
