In Community Program Specialist

The In-Community Program Specialist supports the planning, direction, implementation, and supervision of Tims Camps Community Programs which take place at schools and /or community group spaces in their designated region.

Requirements

• University degree and/or college background in Education, Outdoor Experiential Education or related field/similar experience
• Superior written and oral communication skills with strong time management, project management, and organizational skills across multiple priorities and projects
• 3+ years of experience working with children/youth of various abilities, preferably in an education and/or outdoor/camp setting
• Skilled in behaviour management and problem solving
• Ability to exercise good judgement and professionalism when interacting with schools and community groups
• Demonstrated excellence in program facilitation
• Access to a personal vehicle and licensed with a valid G Class Driver’s License, or equivalent (required)
• Must have an acceptable driver’s abstract
• Must have, or be able to obtain upon hire, the required level of third-party business class liability insurance coverage for the role
• Daily travel required within designated geographic area
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which could include working early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Occasional travel outside of immediate geographic region will be required
• Current Standard First Aid/CPR-C certification considered an asset
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Are legally eligible to work in Canada
• Able to provide an acceptable criminal background check or vulnerable sector check
• Bilingual in French and English considered an asset
