The In-Community Program Specialist supports the planning, direction, implementation, and supervision of Tims Camps Community Programs which take place at schools and/or community group spaces in their designated region.
Requirements
- University degree and/or college background in Education, Outdoor Experiential Education or related field/similar experience.
- Superior written and oral communication skills with strong time management, project management, and organizational skills across multiple priorities and projects.
- 3+ years of experience working with children/youth of various abilities, preferably in an education and/or outdoor/camp setting.
- Skilled in behaviour management and problem solving.
- Ability to exercise good judgement and professionalism when interacting with schools and community groups.
- Demonstrated excellence in program facilitation.
- Access to a personal vehicle and licensed with a valid G Class Driver's License, or equivalent (required).
- Daily travel required within designated geographic area.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule which could include working early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Up to 50% travel to locations across Canada will be required.
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR-C certification considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Are legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Able to provide an acceptable criminal background check or vulnerable sector check.
- Bilingual in French and English considered an asset.
