Software Engineer, II - Cloud Automation

Join Torc's Cloud Automation team as a Software Engineer II to build and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure for AWS services, advance cloud security initiatives, and design and deploy shared platforms. Collaborate with a distributed, remote-friendly team and contribute to technical decisions through design reviews and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience
• AWS Cloud: Hands-on experience with core AWS services (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, EKS/ECS, Lambda) and comfort working in a multi-account environment
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform (modules, remote state, and CI-driven plan/apply workflows)
• Kubernetes: Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes clusters (preferably EKS), with a solid understanding of best practices for deployment, security, and day-to-day management in production environments
• Networking & Security: Working knowledge of cloud networking (VPCs, peering, DNS, load balancing) and security fundamentals (least-privilege IAM, security groups, compliance tooling)
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python (or a similar language) to build internal tooling, automation, and operational scripts
• Collaboration & Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative working style; comfortable working on a distributed team
