Student journalists (radio room) Editorial Trainee

Torstar Corporation is a progressive media organization seeking current post-secondary students to staff its digital monitoring hub (radio room) as editorial trainees. The successful candidate will work in a paid, contract position conducting regular checks, monitoring social media, and providing original reporting for all the Star's platforms.

Requirements

• Eligibility to work in Ontario
• Current post-secondary student
• Ability to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
• Calm and well-organized
• Ability to persuade officials to provide information
• Ability to speak with victims of crime and accidents
• Well-versed in CP style
