CNC OPERATOR

The CNC Machinist – Class A position serves as a leader and teacher for subordinates. The role involves operating CNC machines, MDI programming, reverse engineering, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. The candidate is responsible for supervisory duties and preventative maintenance.

Requirements

• Ability to MDI Program complex parts at the CNC mill
• Expert mastery of blueprints (read and draw)
• Basic reverse engineering skills
• Mastery of Quality Control (conceptual and in application)
• GD&T knowledge
• Ability to use measuring equipment
• Ability to design and build fixtures for CNC VMCs
• Tightest tolerances possible on vertical machining equipment
• Ability to supervise and ensure the completion of preventative maintenance
• Supervises subordinates
• Supervises production output
• Ability to set up and indicate vises on CNC mills
• Ability to set up tools and offsets
• Understanding of QC and documentation in-process checks
• Basic blueprints understanding
