Water Safety Instructor I

Performs intermediate technical work involving the preparation and/or maintenance of fiscal or related records; does related work as required. Water Safety Instructor I position duties include, but are not limited to: Lesson Planning, Classroom Management, Assessing Swimmers, Student/Guardian Interactions, Recording Classes, Preparedness, Continued Training, Additional Tasks.

Requirements

• Certifications/Licensures: Water Safety Instructor I Level, Valid Virginia (VA) Driver's License, American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification
• Knowledge of American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim programs, American Red Cross CPR/First Aid, and American Red Cross Lifeguarding programs
• Ability to use independent judgement, work with little direct supervision, operate a computer, and other office equipment needed to perform job duties
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
