Job Description
Toyota Research Institute (TRI) is seeking a Senior Simulation Engineer to lead the development of sensor and system-level simulation workflows for its Automated Driving division. The role involves building simulated environments, data pipelines, and interfaces to evaluate and improve full-stack driving policy under realistic conditions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and bridging research and production. The work is part of Toyota’s global AI efforts and involves close collaboration with various teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or simulation.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
- Experience with simulation platforms (e.g., CARLA, Applied Intuition, Nvidia DriveSim).
- Knowledge of sensor simulation principles.
- Understanding of end-to-end autonomy pipelines.
