Registered Nurse

Requirements

• Assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records
• Administers medications to patients and monitors patients for reactions or side effects per written provider orders
• Communicates physician treatment plan including lab/imaging results to patients and documents appropriately within the EMR
• Prepares rooms, steriles instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained
• Instructs individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education and disease prevention
• Develops health improvement programs
