The Sterilization Technician focuses on sterilizers, washer decontaminators, and cart washers, requiring knowledge of Steris, Amsco, and/or Getinge sterilizers. The position involves inspection, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and performance verification of complex sterilization and decontamination equipment and systems. The technician must ensure regulatory compliance and assist in inventory management.
Requirements
- 6 months experience in the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of sterilization and decontamination equipment
- AC/DC electrical knowledge and ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics
- Plumbing knowledge and ability to read and understand piping diagrams and identify basic plumbing components
- 2 year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience
- Valid driver’s license
- TRIMEDX Trained Certification or completed an equivalent biomedical related certification program
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and networking applications
- Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 lbs.
