Job Description
The Medical Laboratory Scientist/Team Lead will resolve day-to-day problems, ensure proper training of subordinates, and perform laboratory procedures. They will also provide quality patient care, demonstrate unit/area-designated competencies, and participate in educational activities.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, or university in Medical Technology, Histotechnology or equivalent work experience, or related science
- Medical Technologist (MT)/Histotechnologist (HT) – ASCP, or NCLS certification preferred
- Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of progressively more responsible experience as a Medical, or Histo Technologist
- Ability to work independently
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and follow-thru
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interact with laboratory personnel, patients, and other medical professionals
