Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for execution of daily shipping and receiving documents. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, detail oriented and looking for a stable company to growth with.

What You Will Do

Receive all shipments by outside sources and company transfers, field questions about orders from warehouse and sales, perform stock checks, address any backorders immediately each morning, maintain organized and accurate inventory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Good math and excellent organizational skills
• Able to deal effectively with employees
• Ability to multi-task, ability to deal with changing circumstance and situations
• Ability to accurately and efficiently use a tape measure and micrometer
• Ability to operate an overhead crane
• Knowledge of structural steel products or previous steel distribution warehouse experience preferred
