Job Description
We are looking for an intermediate backend developer who is motivated to contribute to the design and evolution of our backend infrastructure, particularly our AI chatbot assistant. This generalist backend engineer role is currently focused on an AI system including augmented retrieval generation (RAG), multi-step workflows, calling tools to external services, memory management, and transparent integration with LLM. Main responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful/GraphQL APIs and microservices for our AI chatbot and other backend systems.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of practical experience in backend software development
- Excellent mastery of Python and modern Web Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, or Flask strongly recommended)
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, ORM/query optimization, and data modeling
- Experience designing and using RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including serverless architectures, containers (Docker), and base orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent)
- Practical knowledge of AI integration concepts: linear latent models (LLM), embeddings, vector search, RAG motifs, and basic tool invocation techniques
- Solid software engineering skills: clean code, unit/integration tests, CI/CD, Git, and agile methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex AI-related requirements into robust backend solutions
- Mastery of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) and good security practices (OAuth, JWT, API gateways)
- Excellent communication skills in English*
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
