CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts, and fits and assembles machined parts into complete units. Must have 1-3 years of related machining experience, high school diploma or GED, and basic math, mechanical/technical aptitude, and attendance dependability.

• Post high school coursework or professional certification
• Basic math (add, subtract, multiple, and divide)
• Mechanical/technical aptitude
• Attendance dependability
• Ability to work independently
• Flexibility with changes in work requirements
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills, such as open and save files along with basic data entry
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• GD&T knowledge and troubleshooting skills
