BallenIsles Country Club seeks a Golf Course Assistant Superintendent for a full-time salaried career opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar golf course supervisory position and private country club environment, with a focus on maintaining and following annual golf course maintenance budgets and capital plans.
Requirements
- Work with the Superintendent to ensure that the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans are maintained and followed
- Supervise and assist maintenance staff in daily duties
- Assist in the planning, organizing and direction of the maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers
- Supervise the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees and ornamental plants
- Ensure that maintenance equipment is properly operating and report issues appropriately to Equipment Managers
- Assist in the procurement of supplies and materials and ensure costs remain within budgetary limitations
- Maintain records of annual maintenance activities and costs and assist with the preparation of required reports
- Follow sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors when possible
- Reconcile and provide timely coding of all invoices, payroll and other required documents
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed including compliance with government regulations
- Ensure associates obtain proper licenses needed to perform job tasks safely and within city, state, and federal regulations; address all real or perceived environmental concerns directly
- Manage department members that may include, but are not limited to: Mechanic, Environmental Technician, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Greenskeeper, and Irrigation Technician
- Assure that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate; develop ongoing training programs
- Monitor business volume forecast and plan accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses
