The Payroll Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring payroll tax accuracy and maintaining compliance with tax regulations. Leads and develops a team of payroll analysts.
Requirements
- Coordinate work assignments, prioritize tasks, and ensure the team's timely completion of tax-related projects and deliverables.
- Reviews and analyzes payroll tax procedures; applies continuous improvement methods to streamline processes and mitigate risk.
- Manage and report on key performance indicators and metrics.
- Develops staffing plans and establishes work schedules; prioritizes team workload to maintain service levels.
- Work with federal and state tax agencies, and third parties to resolve escalations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify potential tax issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in resolving tax-related disputes and participate in negotiations, settlements, and appeals, if required.
