Principal Mechanical Engineer

True Anomaly is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of mechanical assemblies for flight systems and other ground support mechanisms in the development of spacecraft. The candidate will provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and be responsible for shaping the future of space exploration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 12+ years of professional experience in Space Mechanisms
• Demonstrated experience with spacecraft level mechanical architecture, design as well as payload and component level design
• Demonstrated excellence in mechanical GD&T
• Experience with configuration control, MES and PLM tools
• Mastery in CAD tools, such as SolidWorks
• Demonstrated ability to work and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Expansive understanding of manufacturing processes available/related to space hardware
• Passion for the space industry
