Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the Coax Splicer will be to splice/test coax cables aerial and underground in both outside (OSP) and inside (ISP) settings.
Requirements
- Splice/terminate, and test OSP/ISO coax cables.
- Read and interpret work orders, specifications, engineering drawings and/or cut sheets to determine work to be done in sequence of task.
- Repair or splice-in new line as needed to complete the testing and certification of the project.
- Install all passive and active devices per customer requirements.
- Test Coax/RF lines for balanced signal between points– continuity and fault
- Able to work on activate underground and aerial lines.
- Optimize new nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity.
