Job Description
Welder/Fabricator at TrueNorth Steel, working on basic manufacturing assignments, following company safety and quality requirements, and performing measurements within specified tolerances.
Requirements
- Follow all company safety and quality requirements
- Learn company policies and procedures
- Work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards
- Follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead
- Problem solve simple and non complex issues that need little judgement
- Perform measurements within specified tolerances
- Learn to read blueprints
- Work well with others
- Work safely and accurately
- Prompt and dependable attendance
- Perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds
- Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld
- Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance
- General knowledge of equipment and operations
- Basic understanding of Weld symbols
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Read a tape measure (imperial and metric)
- Accept responsibility and account for his/her actions
- Perform work accurately and thoroughly
