Job Description
The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products, performing simple flat and horizontal welds, and following company safety and quality requirements.
Requirements

- Able to work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards.
- Able to follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead.
- Able to problem solve simple and non-complex issues that need little judgement.
- Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.
- Learn to read blueprints.
- Ability to work with others.
- Ability to work safely and accurately.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.
- Able to perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds.
- Able to Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld.
- Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
- General knowledge of equipment and operations.
- Basic understanding of Weld symbols.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
