The Associate Director-D of Faculty Affairs will manage, administer, and coordinate the Department of Medicine faculty academic appointments, reappointments, and promotions process, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed, all documents are complete and accurate, and timelines are adhered to.
Requirements
- Supports divisional faculty coordinators in all aspects of the appointment, reappointment, and promotion processes
- Researches, prepares, and vets extramural consultants and solicits peer references for promotion and senior rank appointments
- Oversights and implements the peer reference process at the Division level
- Ensures that University Faculty Search guidelines are followed throughout the appointment process
- Responsible for orienting/training, coaching new faculty coordinators within the DOM on the various Faculty Affairs processes
- Works directly with external and internal entities to ensure verification of academic appointment requests
- Serve as liaison to PSOM Office of Academic Affairs
- Support the central departmental faculty Affairs processes
- Perform additional duties as assigned
