Job Description
The Referral Authorization Specialist will be responsible for managing referrals, prioritizing stat referrals, and following up on sent referrals. They will review patient benefits and eligibility, update the system with changes, and manage referral status to ensure clinics have current information. Additionally, they will compile patient health information, communicate with physicians, and ensure timely delivery of outside mail and communication to the physician.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a health coordination role
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of medical records software (preferred)
