Job Description
The PhD position in Dynamics-Aware Downscaling of Extremes over Arctic Glaciers involves developing a machine learning-based downscaling framework to link coarse resolution climate model outputs to fine-scale estimates of surface melt and precipitation based on observations across Arctic glaciers.
Requirements
- MSc in Earth science, environmental science, data science, physics, mathematics or computer science
- Practical machine learning/artificial intelligence courses
- Relevant project and thesis experience in the cryosphere domain
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Intrinsically excited about collaborative science and motivated to develop expertise independently
