Join TULLOCH as a Senior Aquatic Ecologist and work on environmental assessment, species at risk, and aquatic studies. The role involves a wide range of duties, including designing and performing aquatic habitat and aquatic biota surveys, recommending project-specific procedures, and managing and coordinating projects.
Requirements
- University degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Ecology, Biology, or a related program
- 7-10 years of experience working in a related role, preferably in consulting
- 3+ years of consulting project management experience
- Proficiency with standard to advanced statistical analytical tools (proficiency with R preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to design and perform studies in aquatic ecology
- Applied knowledge of fish and fish habitat
- Applied knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation
- Experience designing, coordinating and leading fish community, population and habitat assessments
- Experience in field survey design and coordination
- High motivation with results-oriented focus
- Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid Class G driver’s licence
