The Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal Council serves as the central governing body for the tribe, overseeing administration, policy implementation, and coordination of programs that directly benefit tribal members and the broader community. Its comprehensive structure includes departments ranging from Benefits, Education, and Housing Authority to Cultural Resources, Tribal Gaming, and Fire Department, ensuring that all aspects of tribal life—from cultural preservation to public safety—are managed under one unified framework. Acting as a vital liaison, the council bridges interactions between the tribe and external governmental entities, fostering collaboration and securing resources to meet community goals.
