The Quality Manager is the lead contact for all quality matters within their assigned area of the business, leading a team of quality professionals to provide a quality management service and drive continual improvement across all project phases.
Requirements
- Degree or professional qualification in STEM subject, Quality Management or relevant discipline or an equivalent level of qualification and experience
- Professional quality certification desirable (CQI/IRCA Lead Auditor, ISO9001 Lead Auditor)
- Member or Fellowship of Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
- Training in quality management systems, assurance processes and regulatory compliance
- Extensive experience in quality management, assurance or control on major Infrastructure programmes
- Proven track record in developing implementing and maintaining quality management systems
- Experience in auditing, reviewing and approving engineering construction and operational deliverables
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and statutory compliance
- Experience managing non conformance, corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Familiar with quality tools metrics and reporting systems and assurance frameworks
- Demonstrated knowledge of or affinity with delivering Quality through a previous role
- Experience working within an Aerospace/ Defence/ Nuclear/ Power Systems/ Other Advanced Manufacturing Industry; typically in an Operations, Supply Chain or Engineering role.
- Ideally, knowledge of problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies, eg; Six Sigma, 8D, Human Factors
- Ideally, have operational experience of activities within the relevant approved organisation scope
