Adult Autism Support Tutor - Academic & Cognitive Enrichment

At Tutor Me Education, we are seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring to students with special needs in Pacific Grove, CA.

Requirements

• Experience supporting autistic adult learners in one-on-one educational settings
• Strong understanding of anxiety-sensitive and neurodiversity-affirming teaching approaches
• Patient, calm, and engaging personality with excellent conversational and rapport-building skills
• Ability to support reading comprehension, foundational literacy, math concepts, science, and social studies in flexible ways
• Skilled at adapting instruction to non-traditional learning styles and strengths-based teaching
• Familiar with sensory-sensitive environments and emotional regulation support strategies
• Ability to facilitate collaborative learning experiences that promote engagement and confidence
• Creative and flexible in incorporating personal interests into lessons and discussions
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain consistent, structured sessions without rigid instruction
