Job Description
We are seeking a passionate teacher and tutor to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Coachella, CA to students with special needs. The role involves helping students achieve academic success and requires experience working with students in special education settings.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Experience working with students in special education settings
- Strong background in foundational literacy skills
- Experience supporting foundational math skills
- Knowledge of handwriting instruction and fine motor skill development
- Skilled in delivering explicit, repetitive, and multi-sensory instruction
- Patient, supportive, and able to maintain structured, consistent, and engaging sessions
- Ability to incorporate student interests into lessons
- Familiarity with IEPs and strategies used in speech and occupational therapy sessions
