Our Residence Inn Manhattan Beach is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to maintain the property up to brand standards and Owner expectations.
Requirements
- Leads the development, maintaining and execution of a 5 year CAPEX plan for each property.
- Partner with Corporate Director of Engineering to develop a yearly capex budget recommendation for each hotel, ensuring Brand standards are achieved and properties are executing projects in a timely manner when approved by hotel Ownership.
- Conducts documented quarterly Engineering property inspections for each hotel in the portfolio.
- Become a subject matter expert with regards to the Quore platform, with a high level of focus on preventative maintenance, work orders and system readings.
- Oversee and/or conduct repairs on cooling systems, water and water treatment systems, hot and cold water systems, boiler and pressure vessels, pool & pool equipment, large equipment, HVAC and life safety systems.
- Maintain physical operation of hotel portfolio including building structure, fixtures, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical system.
- Develop, implement and manage effective preventative maintenance program throughout the portfolio using the Quore platform.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Maintain strong communications and follow up with property leaders and Corporate Staff.
- Respond to all hotel emergencies such as fire, flood, hurricane and other natural disasters to manage clean up and reconstruction.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
- Available to workdays, nights and weekends.
- Consistently provides on-the-job supervision and training, provides necessary technical information for repair, maintenance, operation, modification, replacement and new construction activities to ensure that all jobs are being performed correctly.
- Develop a list of preferred vendors for your 247 Hotels.
- Development of SOPs to support hotel maintenance focused tasks.
- Knowledge of all regulations and safety standards including but not limited to OSHA, ADA, EPA, CFC, NFPA, and SDS
- Extensive knowledge of building trades, electrical, mechanical, HVAC etc.
- Knowledge of plumbing and general building practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to attain necessary licenses, certifications.
- Ability to use computers and to develop documents and presentations to assist in presenting ideas (Microsoft Office applications)
- Manage the flow and schedule of maintenance and repair projects throughout the portfolio.
- Create and conduct staff development programs for engineering and operations personnel to reduce breakage and foster a ālearnerā environment
