Mechanical Design Engineer - Nuclear

Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for providing innovative engineering solutions, assessing and resolving potential conditions adverse to quality, and performing tasks in accordance with established expectations for nuclear safety and personnel safety.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
• 6 yrs related job experience ideal with at least 3 years in nuclear power plant environment required
• Extensive knowledge in Mechanical design engineering
• Knowledge in Mechanical areas such as system and component design, heat transfer and fluid flow analysis.
• Knowledge of piping system design, including ANSI standards and ASME code requirements.
• Knowledge of mechanical components design performance characteristics and specifications.
• Proficient computer skills in standard Windows programs (Excel, Word, etc).
• Experience running engineering modeling and analysis software and experience with associated software quality assurance requirements
